POSITION:
Tandem Truck Drivers with AZ or DZ license in the Vaughan yard.
OBJECTIVES:
As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking
professional and capable
Tandem Truck Drivers with AZ or DZ license to add to our team in the
Vaughan yard. These
positions are full-time and permanent which offers excellent ability
to grow personally and professionally with a fast paced
and increasingly growing company. The ideal candidates should
possess some of the job qualifications and/or a working knowledge of
the responsibilities listed below.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SETS:

Minimum one year
relevant experience (preferred)

Ability to work
independently and as team

Good knowledge of
basic mathematics
·
Problem solver,
multi-tasker and excellent organizational skills
·
Efficient and is able
to work with tight
deadlines
·
Health and Safety trained and aware

Fall Arrest Certificate

Ability to follow
written and verbal instructions accurately

Responsible for
driving heavy commercial vehicles so must have and maintain a valid
DZ or AZ license
College Diploma
– High School and/or
combination of education and related job experience
The selected candidates obtain clear direction from the Warehouse Supervisor and ensure that all responsibilities are operating at a high level of effectiveness on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities will include the following duties:
·
Perform circle check of the assigned vehicle to assure all safety
requirements are met including the completion of forms or log book
entries. Ensure adequate oil and fuel for the delivery.
·
Knowledge of, and observe, the laws pertaining to the operation of
these vehicles on public roads and highways.
·
Check all equipment to ensure safety requirements are met including
secure loading and all other needs for the safe delivery of goods to
our customers on a timely basis, and promptly return to base.
·
Prepare the load for delivery and check content for accuracy and
secure the load. Sign out and perform the delivery of goods to
company standards.
·
Knowledge of the site locations and final destinations, including
most direct routes for timely delivery, in the sequence for multiple
deliveries in accordance with dispatch requirements.
·
Ensure that a trained flagman assists when reversing the truck at
all times
·
Prepare truck bed for reloading and assist warehouse staff as
required.
·
Maintain contact with dispatch as necessary if delays or difficulty
at sites cannot be resolved quickly.
Call dispatch when delivery complete.
·
Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping in the vehicle and
dispose of waste in bins
provided
·
Maintain all documents for the vehicle in good order and ensure they
are current
·
Any
other job related duties as assigned by Supervisor

Personal Executive Assistant - Part Time Leading to Full Time.
OBJECTIVES:
We are currently seeking a Personal Executive Assistant to add to our Team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented and organized professional that will apply their highly developed administrative skills to support the General Manager in our Barrie location. Watson Building Supplies is a very client focused environment which requires the incumbent to be particular with their attention to matters of sensitive, critical and confidential matters.
